Synopsis:

This was an interesting read for me. I don't read many sci-fi or dystopian novels as the genre doesn't always appeal to me, but this book was a pleasant surprise. The writing was easy for me to flow with which made for an enjoyable read. Each character had their moments where I both disliked and enjoyed them which made the experience fun for me.
Ava is the main protagonist of the story and I have a love-hate relationship with her. She was comical and hardworking, but also came off whiny and annoying at times. She told the story well and gripped my attention, but at times I wanted to jump through the page and pop her upside her head.
The story is extremely fast paced and throws you into the world immediately from page one. I enjoy that aspect as most sci-fi isn't too fast paced.
ISAN is a training ground for troubled girls that get turned into killers for the government. Each of the girls definitely had their quirks about them, but they were all sassy and I LOVED it! The training is never easy nor is it simple. It's intense and it makes for an awesome read.
I definitely plan to continue on with the trilogy because I believe it will only get better and better. I need to know what happens next for Ava, ISAN and Rhett!
