Synopsis:
Aiden Emerson is an all-star pitcher and the all-around golden boy of Riverton. Or at least he was, before he quit the team the last day of junior year without any explanation. How could he tell people he's losing his vision at seventeen?

Straight-laced Olivia thought she had life all figured out. But when her dream internship falls apart, her estranged mother comes back into her life, and her long-time boyfriend ghosts her right before summer break, she's starting to think fate has a weird sense of humor.

Each struggling to find a new direction, Aiden and Olivia decide to live summer by chance. Every fleeting adventure and stolen kiss is as fragile as a coin flip in this heartfelt journey to love and self-discovery from the author of Love Songs & Other Lies.

My Thoughts:
This was such a cute read! I adored Aiden and Olivia together. The family dynamics in this book were so real and could easily be relate-able. The summer feel to this book just made it feel like I was watching a cute YA romance movie. It was such a nice read.

Olivia was a strong girl. She dealt with betrayal from loved ones and had to learn to forgive them. She had a good head on her shoulders, but I found that she tried to bear the weight of everything on her own. She knew what she wanted out of life which I enjoyed. Even when her mother won the lottery, she didn't care. She didn't find herself using the money as a way to "love" her mother. She was awesome, sweet and funny.

Aiden was amazing in how he handled his situation. It was tough and sometimes he lashed out, but overall he handled it well. He was very respectable towards people, especially Olivia. He made decisions for himself even though they were hard to deal with at times. I loved how he rose above his circumstance and overcame them -- especially at the end!!

Zander was a jerk! I really didn't care for his perception of romance and how quick he was at breaking up with people. He was pathetic.

The romance was amazing for me. I didn't care much for Olivia and Zander because he was an idiot, but I adored her with Aiden because it was a slow progression that was natural. With Zander, she had to be the one chasing him. However, with Aiden she was being chased and loved on. I loved the way they hung out, talked and really got to know one another. Even that ending for Aiden and Olivia was perfect!

Ellis was funny and Emma was awesome for keeping Olivia going. They are two awesome friends for both characters. Olivia's mother was also a nice woman. I loved how she came back and tried hard to rebuild the mother-daughter relationship and helped Olivia stay instead of moving with her aunt.

Overall, this was a cute read. I flew through it.
