This was absolutely a BEAUTIFUL read! I was going to give this book a 4 star rating, but that last chapter immediately made me bump it to a 5 star read! That ending was a total plot twist and something I really wanted to happen! Bethany-Kris is brilliant in her writing and how she creates her characters. This book was humorous, sexy and witty all at once.
I enjoyed the audiobook. The narrator did a great job and his pace was fine. I do however, wish that it was narrated by a woman as I preferred to hear Cozen's voice in a feminine way, however, it was still great though. I definitely enjoyed it.
Cozen is a bold, beautiful and strong woman. I love her outlook of wealth. I love her determination and work ethic. I love how she keeps business the way it should be. I loved her! I can't say anything else about her. Cozen is just a powerhouse of a woman and very in-tune with her sexuality and sensuality. I loved it.
Sargon is a mysterious man with danger all about him. He is a many of few words, but many looks. He's dark. He's strong. He's quick and has a temper. I loved how much he worked at his job. He didn't let little things faze him either.
The romance between Cozen and Sargon was absolutely perfect! I totally shipped them together because they played many games, but also kept things upfront with one another. They didn't seem to mind ruffling one another's feathers. They meshed well and the sex they had was always raw, vulnerable and bomb. They seemed to lose themselves around each other which was perfect.
Jett was an annoying man. I liked him at first when he pursued Cozen, but as the story went on he just irritated the hell out me. He felt entitled and tried to much to impress her. His ending, however, was very sad. I don't think he deserved it, but better that way than another.
Fourth was an arrogant asshole! I hated how he tried boss Cozen around, but when he made her fly to FL it all made sense. I respect his loyalty to his family. Pearl is a powerhouse of an old granny. She spoke with such fierceness. She exuded danger. I loved her.
Overall, this was such a beautiful story with such an outstanding ending that blows the mind. Bethany-Kris has become a must read author for me from reading this book alone. If you're into romance with action and surprises, read this!
