Synopsis:
Twenty-nine-year-old Stevie Sinclair has just lost everything: her boyfriend, her apartment, even her ugly bird named Free. (Yeah, she knows it’s stupid name, so don’t start.) But most importantly, Stevie’s lost herself.

As she shuffles through her days in worn-out Hello Kitty PJs—eating ice cream, sipping wine, and contemplating her next move—a magazine article catches her attention. Blaring black letters read: "How to Get Your Sexy Back in Six Easy Steps."

Stevie studies the article in the trashy magazine like the good student she is and immediately knows what she has to do. With the magazine article in hand, and a bottle of red in her bag, Stevie embarks on a journey to reclaim her life and win back her ex.

Until she meets Gabe Shannon. Gorgeous, single, and on a quest of his own, Gabe introduces Stevie to a lifestyle that is sure to help get her sexy back and then some. If she doesn’t chicken out … (Oh, you know where this is going.)

What follows is a story of self-discovery, romantic gestures, erotic encounters, and following one's heart--even if it leads in unexpected directions.

Portions originally published online as The Club e-series, Dirty Little Lies now has 70% more content, chapters from Gabe's point of view, and a sizzling conclusion to this steamy tale.

My Rating: ★★★★★

Quote I Like

"That really pisses me off. I manage this place, Stevie. And I don't usually pick up random women. One of my meetings canceled, and I'm sorry, but I couldn't take my eyes off you when you walked in tonight. Now, before I track down your ex and make him pay for making you feel so insecure, can we please just focus on your list?" - Gabe Shannon

My Thoughts

Clare James wrote a brilliant and hilariously seductive novel! Dirty Little Lies and phenomenal! The title is just perfect as well. I absolutely adored the characters, the sex scenes were funny and those plot twists blew my mind away. I absolutely need to read more from Ms. James ASAP.

This story follows 29 year old Stevie Sinclair after she finds out that her boyfriend, Max, is cheating on her. Max and Stevie have a perfect relationship minus the sex life. Stevie could never get off and Max knew it. As soon as she finds out he's cheated she leaves. She comes across a magazine article on how to get your sexy back in six easy steps. She stays at a hotel and meets the handsome and drool worthy Gabe Shannon. She shares the article with him and things take off from there.

Stevie Sinclair was such a sweet character. I enjoyed how she took all her strides like a woman. She fell out of touch with herself while with Max and was determined to get her sexy all the way back. She wasn't afraid to explore her sexuality and allow herself to be overcome by it. I loved how she kept her business and playtime separate without a problem.

Max was an interesting guy. At first I thought he cheated and I hated him for it, but then to find out the truth I thought it was an okay idea, but at the same time the dumbest thing a guy could do. He couldn't satisfy his woman so he should have asked her how -- to teach him how to. It's not that he couldn't, but he just didn't know what was right or wrong for her.

Gabe Shannon -- moment of silence and staring please -- was such a dream, swoon, drool worthy piece of man! I totally loved him, not just for the sexual adventures and how hot of a guy he was. I loved him because he was entrepreneur, he was sweet, he knew how to draw the lines between business and pleasure and he taught himself how to enjoy life.

The meeting and relationship between Stevie and Gabe was pure perfection. At first, I loved how things went slow and it was just about helping Stevie get her sexy back and make Max jealous at the same time. Then as the story progressed and Stevie ventured into The Club, Gabe began to feel possessive, but wouldn't allow himself to want more. The fact that they both tried to hide their growing feelings for one another was absolutely funny. I'm glad they held out because the ending was perfection to learn the truth about Max and Gabe.

This was such a fabulous novel with slight BDSM moments. Overall I am excited to get my hands on Dirty Little Tricks because I need more of Stevie and Gabe for sure.

Side note: the series title "Quick & Dirty" is just a perfect fit! Clare James did fantastic!
