Synopsis from Goodreads:
"If you enjoyed Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why, you will race through the pages of this YA novel as 17-year old Dinah pieces together the mystery that surrounds the near death of her 14-year old cousin Claire.

While Claire is holding on her for her life in the hospital, Dinah goes in search of the boy Claire writes about in her journal. The boy who forced her to do something she didn't want to do. The boy who caused her such humiliation that the thought of having to live one more day was just too much.

Dinah is on a mission for revenge, but as things start to unfold, her plan isn't as simple as it seemed.

My Rating★★★★★

Quote(s) I Like:
"Killing someone's easier than you think. All it takes is decision, aim and follow-through." - Dinah

"Kleptomania is a medical condition beyond the afflicted's control. Picking pockets is a legitimate trade, thank you very much. I only pink what I intend to take and nothing more." - Brucey

My Thoughts:
Great book surrounded around revenge, lies and deception along with finding ones self. This had me enveloped in every word. It shocked me to find out how devious and fake Dex is as a friend to Brooks and how he treated females because he felt like he didn't belong. Loved the storyline -- it definitely was well planned and developed. I didn't like the ending at as far as Claire's life goes, but the ending was good.

- Spoiler Alert -
Stacy is a horrible mother, sister and aunt. There is not that much jealousy in the world to make you hate your family. She didn't even feel bad about her own niece dying. I'm surprised Dinah's father never left her mother. She is such a damn b*tch.

Claire's death bought me to tears because she was only 14 years and couldn't handle the thought of being raped so she killed herself.

Dex is a conniving rat! How do you claim to be friends with people, but use their names to help yourself "succeed" in life. Rapping and harming many girls (Claire, Abby and Chandi) was so not cool. The worse part is that he felt no remorse for what he did. It's guys like him that make me hate the world. So glad that multiple charges were bought against him. He deserves to go to jail!

Dinah's plan to get revenge for Claire went perfect when she thought it was Brooks himself who did the harm to his sister, but finding out it was Dex definitely changed the game 360.

Brooks definitely was an amazing guy! I felt bad about how his father treated him, how he had to pretend to be various people to please everyone and his phobia against water (showers, rain, puddles, etc). Learning about him definitely made my heart melt.

Overall Conclusion:
Great YA Mystery/ Contemporary novel. Really good read.
