As a romance reader I'm always looking to get into new authors and books. I was excited for this story as it's a MC romance and I don't read many MC romances. I was ready to run head first into this having never read the other two books and I must say it was a smooth read. There were few times where I was a bit confused, but as I kept reading things began to align and make sense.
The characters were all different from each other. None of them clashed in a bad way. I felt like they were their own person. The romance was interesting between Walt and Mary. I loved the family dynamics as it made for a great experience. This is heavy on MC life so if you are not interested in those type of books this wouldn't be the read for you. Pacing was a bit slow at times and fast at others...I wish it was a much more fixed pace to the reading, but I still found myself enjoying the characters.
Overall, it was a quick and fun read and I enjoyed the experience. I will definitely read more from A.R. Case.
