Once outside the comforting walls of the hospital it becomes apparent that healing is just a small portion of Glory’s capabilities. My Rating:
My Thoughts:
A genre I am personally not a fan of, but I totally enjoyed it more than I thought. I am giving this a 4 star rating. Blessed a thriller/mystery story. A.L. Bryant is very talented in the way she details her scenes and crafts her characters. I found that reading this was seamless and smooth. I was pulled into the story at each turn of the page.
The story mainly centers around a woman with amnesia who gets the name Glory. She was left for dad New Years Eve and managed to get to the hospital and survive on her own. The story details her past with her parents and siblings. She and her siblings are practical immortal beings.
She is caught up in a war between two organizations (good and evil) in which a lot of shady things happen. I enjoyed the multiple POVs as it made for a great action-packed read. I did find that I got confused every now and then and had to re-read a few chapters over to fully understand the story.
I loved that this was set over the course of a few years as it created a very intriguing story. The faith aspects in this book was rather interesting to read as well.
If you're into paranormal, supernatural or sci-fi novels you may definitely enjoy this story. Definitely interested in reading the sequel.
