For weeks, the immortal warrior Aeron has sensed an invisible female presence. An angel--demon-assassin--has been sent to kill him. Or has she? Olivia claims she fell from the heavens, giving up immortality because she couldn't bear to harm him. But trusting--and falling for--Olivia will endanger them all. So how has this "mortal" with the huge blue eyes already unleashed Aeron's darkest passion?
Now, with an enemy hot on his trail and his faithful demon companion determined to remove Olivia from his life, Aeron is trapped between duty and consuming desire. Worse still, a new executioner has been sent to do the job Olivia wouldn't

My Rating:

My Thoughts:
The Lords of the Underworld continue to amaze me. Book 5 follows Aeron, the keeper of Wrath. He always thought he would never fall in love with a woman, more so a mortal. Aeron was a very proud person and always tried to keep control. He didn't know how to truthfully have fun and enjoy life. He only worried about death and dying. I loved watching his growth mentally and seeing him open up more to his emotions.

Olivia was an angel sent to kill Areon, but she couldn't allow herself to go through with it so she ended up becoming a fallen angel. I loved Olivia because even for an angel she was open, confident and all around beautiful. Her character was cocky or rude, but rather refreshing. Even when she did get wild or spunky it was with a refreshing taste and she always did it in the right mind. I like that she never gave up hope on Aeron and that she continued to love him from the day she saw him. She protected him and saved his life at all ends, including Legion's stupid behind.

The romance between Aeron and Olivia was slow, sweet and perfect. The sexual tension was always there. Especially since Olivia never backed down with what she wanted. She pushed until he caved and made sure to experience all that she could. I liked watching Aeron battle with himself and his demon to not have feelings for her, but ultimately failed at it.

Legion is just an idiot. She's the demon that fell in love with Aeron, but was only seen as a daughter. She wanted more from him sexually and always thought that his love for her was more, but she was sadly mistaken. I didn't like the fact that she attacked Olivia, Cameo or even Bianka. I hardly respected her character for the deal she made. However, in the end she regained my interest after attacking Galen. Sad how she ended back in Hell trapped in her body and being tormented, but once again Olivia saved her when she shouldn't have been saved. Hopefully Legion gets better at respecting Olivia and understanding her role in Aeron's life. At least she got a win and ended up with a phenomenal human body.

Lysander is a backstabbing, self-righteous idiot. I can't believe that he wanted to kill Aeron. I understood why, but for him to actually do it and not really care about Olivia's feelings was insane. Galen and Lucifer are horrendous. Galen allowing all that happened to Olivia was unbelieveable. The fact that he didn't punish Stefano means he's such a dickwad. Lucifer...well I honestly expected as much on his end, I'm just glad he failed tremendously.

As for Gideon, keeper of lies, having a wife -- like wow...that's insane. I can't believe both Cronus and Rhea are fighting in this war and have demons of their own. Scarlet, the keeper of nightmares. is interesting, but how is she the sister of Aeron?

Great story and can't wait to read about the next few Lords.
