Oh my!!! The feels this book left me with. Phenomenal story written by Charmaine Pauls. The characters were amazing, the romance was cute, the drama had me laughing. I don't read many alien stories, so this was definitely one I could see me reading multiple times over.
Drako is on a mission from Krina to see if the Earth is a place his kind could coexist in. Before he could truly have his mission undergo, his pod crashes to Earth and he's taken in my Secret Services and tortured. I absolutely LOVED Drako he was very well mannered even while being tortured. He was sweet and tentative, but also dominating. He screamed sex in my eyes. I loved how he tried to make things understandable for the humans. He was a very nice alien, with a hot body to match.
Ilse Gouws is a nurse hired to treat Drako's injuries and upon meeting him she noticed that he isn't what the Secret Service claimed him to be. She also knows that he isn't human either. She was a sweet, hardworking woman. I loved how she wanted to help everyone, even if it meant doing it illegally. She was amazing.
The romance between Drako and Ilse definitely was there with sparks flying and fireworks bursting. I loved how they complimented one another and how understanding they were to each other. Neither one wanted to hurt the other, but eventually did in trying to save the other one. I loved watching them go from lust to hate to pure love. They were both amazing and I'm so happy that Ilse became Drako's charl (read the story to find out what that is).
