Synopsis:
No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

My Rating:

My Thoughts:
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hooked for sure.

Let me just start off by simply saying I freaking HATE Blake! He is the lowest, dirtest scum bag ever! I knew he would double cross them. Got damn him.

Katy -- poor Katy -- is now with the DOD and I can't even begin to explain how I feel about that. It's heartbreaking. She has endured her friend Carissa being turned into a demented hybrid, had to kill Will, got shot at and just a whole bunch of crap. I'm scared for her life now.

Daemon is the gotdamn man! I love him and how he has become more humane. I love his romantic side -- just the perfect guy. I can't believe he couldn't say I love you to her until she ends up behind those doors and now she's with the DOD. He was completely crushed. I hope he finds Blake and kills him. I can't believe he know has to go through what his brother went through.

Dee is still an awesome friend. I'm so happy she was able to forgive and rekindle her friendship, but how will she feel now? Dawson and Bethany are reunited which is beautiful.

The DOD is full of crap! I can't believe how ruthless they seriously are. I feel like they banded together with the Arum and the Elders of the Luxen to create a war...like some kind of game.

I am completely hooked on this series, with only 2 books left to go. Jennifer is seriously an awesome freaking writer. She keeps you hooked, surprised and guessing every turn of the page.
