Synopsis from Goodreads:
"Can Miranda save the Eslites?

When an advanced alien species invades Earth, it negotiates an agreement with the world's leaders to provide cures for various human diseases in exchange for a generation of young women. Detained in an otherworldly facility named Nidus, sixteen-year-old Miranda Mays is designated a superior donor and must submit to risky egg extractions, which the Eslites fertilize in a last-ditch, desperate attempt to reproduce. While Miranda is more than willing to help the aliens survive, she soon wonders if there is more to their story."
My Rating★★★★

Quote I Like:
"I tried not to stare, but I couldn't stop studying his physique. Why the heck did the Eslites have to be so damn hot? There wasn't an ugly gene in them." - Miranda

My Thoughts:
Very interesting prequel. I have not read the book just yet, but this prequel was excellent. I'm not huge on sci-fi, but this has changed my views so far. I love Miranda as a character so far. Witty and sarcastic. The Eslites are sexy human looking aliens (as Miranda describes them). I love how Dimas, the headmaster of Nidus, took Miranda aside to talk and how she informed him on a woman's needs and luxuries. I didn't like that their offspring kept dying. They need to figure something out to keep them babies alive!

Great prequel and highly interested to see how the book moves along in The Arrival (book #1 of The Eslites Chronicles).
